Prometheus ELITE CNC Aluminum Hop-Up Chamber for Airsoft AEG Rifles

"Installed into a Krytac Full Metal Trident MKII CRB Airsoft AEG Rifle

We just finished a 3 day milsim event without any issues. (Desert Fox Events)

Using only PTS EPM1 250rd Midcap Magazines.

Installed hopup with Prometheus 6.03mm inner barrel and Maple Leaf bucking.
(I don't remember which part number) 70 degree I think

Once installed it works great. "Looks great too" (says my son)(his AEG)

Chrono gain = 10 FPS with .20g precision BB (FPS gain is from hopup, barrel and nub combination)

The hopup dial is a bit stiff to turn, but manageable.(used a small about of lube)

Needed to file the plastic clip down to get it flush with the hopup body.
(Even after rotating bucking to align the barrel recesses to the clip tabs)

If yours does not slide into the hopup pocket easily, check if the plastic clip is flush.

Expensive? Yes. Worth it? Not sure.

The stock Krytac black plastic hopup is pretty good in combination with a tighter inner barrel and maple leaf bucking and nub.

Note: Compared to the Maxx M4APro hopup, the Prometheus ELITE was a piece of cake to get working in the Krytac Trident MKII. Having lots of issue with the Maxx M4APro. Will review when working.

"I bought both versions of this HopUp. The purple one for my Krytac PDW-M and the red one for my VFC Avalon PDW.
Pros:
They both look great
They both function as they should
Krytac’s mid-caps, VFC Avalon’s QMAG mid-caps, and EMG’s Daniel Defense CYMA 230 round mid-caps both fit and feed well with both hopups.

CONS:
PTS EPM1 DO NOT FULLY SEAT OR FEED WITH BOTH OF THESE HOPUPS!!! I broke 2 PTS EPM1-S mags trying to fit them in. I’m extremely disappointed with this but there are plenty of other mags on the market that will fit.

"Alright so I am the fool who purchased both the marui hop chamber and the vfc version. Both are very nice. Are they worth the price? Definitely not. I like to always try new parts regardless of the prices, especially now in America. The only differences I can see between the two variants is the hop wheel. The vfc wheel is smaller. I test fit the marui version inside a vfc saber, and it fit and worked fine. The small spring and ball bearing is a nice touch, and you can feel and hear the click into place for that exact turn of the hop wheel. I tried a maple leaf super macaron silicon 70 bucking and omega nub with both units, and both seemed to apply alot of tension on the nub even when the hop wheel was turned all the way off. I am currently using the new blue bucking and nub that is included and seems to provide good seal.
In the pictures here, you can see machining imperfections inside the inlet of the chamber as well as the roof inside the chamber.... Not a big deal and has no ill effects on clearances or feeding.
Does it perform better than the Prowin or Maxx Units? nope. Would I get another? Most likely not, but I do recommend it if you are into trying out new parts and like to specifically use the Prometheus brand. It looks great inside the receiver of my vfc and marui platforms, but most importantly it is about function over form, and for the money you can get the same performance for a lot less with the competition.
