"It's exactly as good as everyone else says. It's a full auto that takes glock mags. It comes apart incredibly easy, and upgrades are plentiful. nice and punchy, comfortable and fills the hand. Sights are readable, with options for top rails if that's your thing. I love how it looks, but that's subjective. I've put a set of spring upgrades that give it a little more oomph, and it runs quite well.

If I had to complain, it would be the awkward placement of the auto switch, on the inside underneath of the charging handle. I'm sure there's a reason, but it's so inconvenient. Although I've only let off a few bursts of auto fire anyways. With ~20 round gas mags, you probably don't want to be using this as a bullet hose anyways.

The plastic construction is a bit of a letdown too, especially since most of the mags are metal. Putting the two together really drives in the idea that this is a toy gun. I'm not about to test it, but I wouldn't expect it to last too many drops.

Overall the good outweighs the bad, and I'm very happy for the price I paid.

"I have owned this pistol since it was released and l have not replaced any parts at all. The full auto is crazy fast and semi auto is very responsive. There is now a huge aftermarket abundance of parts for this pistol allowing you to speed up firing rate, range, or even convert it into a pdw, or smg. I have ran just the pistol in a couple of games and it did amazing. The only down side is the mag size. 24 rounds goes way to fast. I bought a 50 round rapter mag for the glock 18c and it will dump that whole mag. I used green gas, red gas, and currently l sm running propane with oil and this pistol keeps up with it all!!
I give this pistol a 20/10!!!

"I've had my aap-01 forever and it still works and since I've bought it it's been through so much and I coverted it to HPA and left the internals alone and it still works. I love it only thing is the slide its weird compared to other pistoles but once you learn it or buy a exsention to help you its perfect. would highly recomend.

"I love this gun. It’s priced very fairly for its performance and upgrade potential. Includes rails for red dots and flashlights and threaded barrel for a tracer. Hop up is amazing for stock gun and can hop heavy bbs no problem which is what I prefer. Just need some extra mags and you can rock with this pistol in cqb. You won’t regret buying this and if you somehow do, you won’t be out a ton of money.

"Decided to buy an AAP and use it indoors as I wanted a change from using an M4. I must say it is an absolute blast to run around with just a pistol and a damn good one too. So far it’s reliable and just fun to use. Will be putting upgrades as I see fit in the future! No better gun for the price

"This gun is amazing for the price, definitely a good gun for budget users. The recoil is nothing crazy and its overall really good.

NOTE: PLEASE BUY A SPEED LOADER WITH THIS GUN. It is very annoying and painful to reload magazines with just your fingers. The tension in the spring paired with how the little nub you press down to make room for more BB's is COMPLETELY FLAT means that loading this thing with just your fingers is extremely difficult. Don't make the mistake I did, ORDER a speed loader! Trust me you will not regret spending an extra 8 bucks on your 100 dollar gun, that you also need to buy green gas with to raise the price even more.

I would also buy spare magazines even if you don't intend to go use it in an airsoft match, you don't wanna be constantly reloading mags for 120 seconds after a quick 10 second burst of shooting. When adjusting the hop-up, I found that just turning the gear left a bit with a pocket knife works well at keeping it shooting straight.

"By far the best pistol I own, and compatible with G17 as well. Tons of upgrades on the market but I found the stock hopup, lower, and hammer set to be the best. So cheap you can get a new set of parts a new mag by just buying a new AAP. Great for a gift for a new airsofter trying to get into gas replicas.

"this was my second airsoft gun and I do not regret it. The only upgrades I have made to it is a CowCow short stroke and guide rod kit (making the full auto faster and cycling faster) and a TAPP M4 HPA adapter and sheesh it sheds. I mean no other upgrades and i was using like an AEG (at an outdoor field) and i wasn’t missing.

it looks amazing and stands out like a fruit loop in a world full of chiros
i don’t personally like full auto but if you do then thats a plus for you
it has a ton of upgrades (i would argue more than a hi-capa)
im pretty sure it’s combatible with Glock 17 and 19 mag but i havn’t tested it

Cons
the fire select absolutely sucks (but can be upgraded)
i can’t really think of any others
